Painting outside is a whole lot different than painting a still life inside. First there’s the hike and hauling things around. (Note to self: pack smaller.) Then there’s this pesky thing with the weather and the light changing all the time. And then there’s the wind, errant bugs and dust, and lack of bathroom facilities. Nonetheless, there’s something very satisfying about getting outside, setting up an easel and getting to work.
