Autumn Quilt Progress

Star Medallion Quilt in progress
I blogged about the start of this one here. The middle of it is now together, with borders slowly slowly slowly being auditioned and sewn on.

The star thing in the middle decided it wanted to be the center of a medallion quilt. Borders are painstakingly being pieced on.

Math is involved here. Geometry most definitely.

Pinning and keeping things symmetrical are important too. Way more important than improv pieced things where wonky shapes are celebrated and weird edges can be whacked off with nary a howdy do.

It looks great! The borders are really complementing the star center.
