It’s holiday time!

Time to throw caution to the wind! Use and consume large quantities of butter and sugar! String flashing lights outside of the house! Wear crazy sweaters and unflattering holiday outfits! Tie bows on everything including the dogs!

The sugar high, insulin stupor, flashing lights and flashy outfits induce a temporary psychosis that leads me to think that a wrapping room is a good idea. Martha Stewart and Candy Spelling have them don’t they?

In keeping with our philosophy that there is no such thing as overdecorated in the holidays, we have an annual cookie decorating tradition. I’ll share a few shots of this year’s fleeting artwork.

By the time you read this, these mini works of art will likely have been decapitated.

And the neighborhood will have been destroyed.
So much for peace and joy for sugar cookies.
