Speaking of dinner (see previous post), have you seen this video? Just so you know, this is advertising for Chipotle. But I think the ad is cute and nicely done – the song (by Willie Nelson), the animation, and the message. So many of the short videos I’ve enjoyed recently are advertising.
This one wasn’t one of them, but there’s lots of buzz about the Superbowl commercials. I’m clueless about football, so the ads got more of my attention than the game yesterday. Since lots of people have DVR’s and the like, and can just leap through the commercials now, advertising needs to be creative, funny, visually arresting, and thoughtful to attract viewers. Otherwise, the finger goes on the FF (fast forward) button and on to the next thing!
