Autumn Quilt Progress

Star Medallion Quilt in progress
I blogged about the start of this one here. The middle of it is now together, with borders slowly slowly slowly being auditioned and sewn on.

The star thing in the middle decided it wanted to be the center of a medallion quilt. Borders are painstakingly being pieced on.

Math is involved here. Geometry most definitely.

Pinning and keeping things symmetrical are important too. Way more important than improv pieced things where wonky shapes are celebrated and weird edges can be whacked off with nary a howdy do.

Thanksgiving

Sunflower

I don’t think I’ve told you – I am so grateful for you.  Your attention, comments, and encouragement – it all means so much to me!

Quite coincidentally, this is my 200th post.  I started this blog thing wanting to post about rather random things. It’s been a thrill to have an audience for my ramblings… Thank you!

I’m off to slice, dice, bake, roast, stuff, and consume mass quantities of turkey and fixings.

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

Signage

Division of Labor
I just love a good sign. This store front in Sausalito had some great ones.  We just stumbled upon them.Division of labor

They’re true, with just the right amount of sarcasm.  This one being particularly relevant this month in the home office….Division of Labor

I looked them up to know who was creating these messages.  They’re brought to you by Division of Labor: a creative agency responsible for other sardonic things.

If you’d like to create your own wall-o-irony, you can buy a set of the five posters above here.

And while you’re at it, go download silly holiday fun with the Instafamily Holiday Card App created by these same fine folks.
