Project Modern Challenge #2

The results of the Project Modern Monochromatic Challenge are in.  My Kaleido/Snowflake quilt didn’t win any prizes but I’m neither surprised nor sad.  Had I been ‘in it to win it’,  maybe I could’ve played more to the aesthetic of the judge, Malka Dubrawsky, but I traveled the path I wanted to travel.

The journey was the reward with this quilt; This was my first ‘challenge’, and my first foray into recording and blogging about my process with the process pledge.   I made friends, learned things, became inspired, and perhaps encouraged others to stretch as I did.  And I have a quilt I love.   I’m calling this a win.

There were 71 entries altogether into this challenge and there are many wonderful quilts. Check them out in this Flickr group. (You may have to join the group to see the all of the pictures, but that’s just a click under join… I think)  Enjoy!

Well said. Without your encouragement, I may never have finished mine. Well actually it’s still only a top but the hard part is finished!
