Ochre
Ochre is a color you may use or remember from paint palettes. Some of the best pigments if this type come from an area in the South of France – Roussillon. 
It’s used all over the village making this one of the most colorful hill towns I’ve ever been to.

The View
Posting again from afar – this time France – the Provencal region. This view is from Les Baux en Provence taken from the castle ruins.
There are lots of walled cities, castles and buildings here precariously perched on the top of rocky outcroppings.
This building has become a museum and was originally a church.
Other constructions perched on the site are castle and fort ruins to keep folks with weapons like these from invading.
This one is a Relais and Chateau Hotel and Restaurant, Les Chèvre D’Or in Eze.
With this view of the Mediterranean.
