Garden Show

This doesn’t look like much of a garden. More like something from a Stanley Kubrick movie. It’s a garden designed and set up by Environmental Design students from UC Berkeley.  Who the heck would really ever have a garden like this one?

And how about this one? This is an aviary for pigeons covered in succulents, roofed with sod.

It was the exhibits that were the most unusual and took the most risks that got the most attention.

The ones that had nice azaleas, potted plants,  orchids, waterfalls, and teak furniture, were nice. Super nice really.  (If anyone wants to build me a garden installation like those, come on over.)

But the extraordinary ones were took risks,  and exaggerated displays in just the right amounts.piecedgoods SF Garden Show San Mateo County Fairgrounds
