We will return to our originally scheduled broadcast after this important message. Tomorrow’s the annual Great California ShakeOut.
The World Wide Web being what it is, I realize that some of you are not from California and don’t fret about being quaked into the Pacific without warning. Unfortunately every place has its own disastrous potential. Tsunamis, hurricanes, monsoon, or tornadoes to name a few.
I’ll be helping the neighborhood prepare and drill just a little tomorrow so that if something happens, we won’t be utterly flummoxed.
Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Say that fast 10 times, and then go make sure you have your emergency phone numbers and contact information handy.
And if you’re in California or other earthquake territory….drop, cover and hold on!
I just practiced it now and found stuff under my desk I’ve been missing a long time.
